Further to the successful installation of LED Lighting to Bridgewater Place Car Park, SCC were selected by Jones Lang LaSalle to replace all of the Lighting in Whitehall Quay One Basement Car Park.
The installation consisted of a point for point replacement of the existing lighting, changing the lighting from fluorescent to LED. To maximise energy savings the lighting design incorporated NCF style Luminaires each with an integral microwave sensor.
SCC designed the lighting system to have two main functions. The luminaires installed on the main roadway of the car park incorporate corridor function, therefore when unoccupied they dim to 10%. This ensures that the car park is never in complete darkness and that the occupants of the building do not feel intimidated when walking to their vehicles.
The luminaires that are installed over the car park spaces incorporate an integral microwave sensor that switches the luminaire on and off.
