Commercial solar PV installers

Commercial solar PV installers like Solarcrown Commercial provide the owners of commercial properties with the opportunity to reduce their energy consumption and business costs, by generating their own green energy.

Putting the roof space of a commercial or industrial building to good use by installing solar PV systems, enables commercial and industrial organisations to make an investment in green energy that offers excellent returns year on year.

Solar PV panels on factories, agricultural buildings, commercial premises, education facilities, factories and warehouses are now commonplace due to the financial and environmental gains from the installation of PV systems.

With a high energy demand, more and more companies keen to generate their own energy and thereby control their carbon footprint and energy costs, commercial solar PV installers have a significant role to play in the future of the UK’s energy market.

Why use commercial solar PV installers for your business?

Solarcrown Commercial is a commercial solar PV installer. We understand the green energy sector, so can offer advice and guidance on solar PV installations from a position of expertise and first-hand experience spanning more than a decade. We have worked on a vast array of solar projects for commercial buildings and understand the significance of your energy usage as well as how energy prices can affect a business.

It’s essential that you use an accredited commercial solar PV installer for your renewable energy system. Solar installation can determine the most cost-effective and efficient solar PV system design for your business.

There is ‘no one size fits all’ option when it comes to solar PV installations. To design the best solar PV system for your needs, a Solarcrown Commercial solar PV installer will conduct a thorough analysis of your current energy use, the size and layout of your building and your energy objectives. From this they produce a proposal that will detail how many PV panels you need, the size of those panels, where they will be located and the projected costs and savings from the installation.

Securing your future energy supply could be driving factor in your investment in a solar PV system. Due to rising energy costs and the potential disruption to the supply of fossil fuels such as gas and oil, commercial enterprises that could be crippled by such disruption are keen to take control and not rely on the National Grid or the supply of energy from other countries.

Your commercial solar PV installer can advise you on how best to use the energy you generate to secure your future supply and help you to better understand your energy usage.

How much is a solar panel installation for a commercial property?

The cost of a solar panel installation for a commercial property will depend on the size and number of panels being installed, the size of the roof space or ground where the installation will be located and how much of your own energy you want to generate.

You might want to generate just enough energy to lower your bills and carbon footprint, or you may want to store energy or sell some of your electricity back to the grid.

As such there is no straightforward answer to how much a solar panel installation on a commercial property costs. You should also consider the return on your investment which is realised over time and converts your initial cost into profit. We can, however, give you some examples from Solarcrown Commercial case studies:

Solar panels for UK businesses

When designing and planning solar panels for UK businesses, the possibilities in terms of the savings over the lifetime of the PV system are subject to the amount of roof or ground space available to house a PV installation.

In its Complete Guide to Solar Panels in 2022, the Renewable Energy Hub states that UK businesses that have room for a 20kW solar PV system can save around £2,000 a year in energy costs.

From a 150 kW system the savings can reach around £15,000 a year. It is unsurprising that solar panels for UK businesses are increasing in demand while the world wrestles with fuel poverty, concerns over future supply and environmental impact.

Solarcrown Commercial – commercial solar PV installers

Solarcrown Commercial supply, design, plan and install solar panel systems for a range of commercial clients. Two very different clients who we’ve had the pleasure to work with are Starbank Panel Products and Countryside Properties.

Solarcrown Commercial completed a solar PV installation for Starbank Panel Products on the roof of its large factory facility. In 2015 we installed a 250 kWp PV system of 960 risen 260W solar PV panels on the roof as part of a full factory electrical installation.

From an initial investment of around £235,000, the company received a return of around £38,000 in year one which has continued to rise to a projected £80.000 for the upcoming period. In terms of energy savings, in 2015 before their site was redeveloped, Starbank consumed 1.5 million kWh to achieve £10m revenue. By 2021 they consumed 1m kWh to achieve £10.4m revenue.

For Countryside Properties, Solarcrown Commercial installed BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) on each dwelling of their Highfield Green residential property development in Kirby, Merseyside. Each of the 400 properties was built with a 1kW integrated PV system which we developed with a sleek design to satisfy the aesthetic planning requirements for building code 4. How Businesses Generating Their Own Energy Can Benefit the Bottom Line

Businesses that generate their own clean energy can cut energy expenditures in the long run and receive financial benefits for doing so. This is especially true if you generate electricity from renewable sources, such as solar power, which can be less expensive than relying on the grid. Businesses that generate their own solar energy can become less reliant on the grid and more self-sufficient.

This is especially important for enterprises that operate in rural areas or in areas where energy supplies are inconsistent or unstable. Generating energy from renewable sources can help businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their environmental performance. This can be an important consideration for businesses that are committed to sustainability and green credentials. Businesses that generate excess energy can also potentially sell it back to the grid, generating additional revenue streams, reducing reliance on your energy supplier and cutting down on energy bills.
