Green Apple Environment Award
London, November 20, 2023 – SolarCrown Commercial proudly announces its recent triumph at the Green Apple Environment Awards for its outstanding work with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). The award ceremony, held at the historic Houses of Parliament, recognised SolarCrown Commercial’s excellence in environmental best practices.
The Green Apple Environment Awards, initiated in 1994, have become a cornerstone in acknowledging and promoting global environmental initiatives. SolarCrown Commercial’s commendable achievements in sustainability were spotlighted, reflecting their commitment to environmental stewardship.
The journey towards this accolade commenced in early 2019 when GMCA, through the Procure Plus Framework, entrusted SolarCrown Commercial with a pivotal 4-year contract. The project was led by Anthony Barrow, Head of Lighting Projects Solarcrown Commercial, to design, supply, and install a retrofit low-energy lighting solution across the borough’s Fire Stations. This initiative showcased SolarCrown Commercial’s ability to provide innovative, energy-efficient solutions tailored to the specific needs of their clients.
