Solarcrown Commercial were introduced to Jones Lang LaSalle by M&E Consultants FHP ESS and were successful in securing the contract to replace all of the lighting on the ground floor open car park at Rochdale Shopping Centre. The Car Park is located externally to the Shopping Centre and
adjacent to the Multi Storey Car Park.
The installation consisted replacing the old and out of dated post top Traditional Globe Lanterns with new LED Street Lantern Style Fittings. Each of the posts in the main car park area were replaced with 2 LED Lanterns mounted on twin spigots, while the building mounted fittings were replaced by Single LED Lanterns. The Lighting in an additional canopy area was also replaced on a point for point replacement system.

“Solarcrown Commercial reviewed the original lighting system and designed a new lighting system that allowed the existing lighting columns to be retained. We used Relux to produce a lighting design that represented the lighting levels to be achieved from the LED lighting upgrade. The lighting scheme consisted of various types of post top luminaire arrangements including 90º and 45º Twin Lamp Spigots and Single Spigots. Once instructed we worked closely with the client to deliver the project in a safe and professional manner. Due to the amount of traffic in the car park during daytime hours, the lighting installations were conducted at nights to ensure minimal disruption. Solarcrown Commercial and Jones Lang LaSalle communicated on a daily basis throughout the project to ensure a seamless on time delivery of the lighting system was achieved.”
