Bury Market Hall opened in 1971 and is one of the best architecturally built market halls in the north west housing 60 stalls. Solarcrown Commercial were appointed via Architectural Services Bury Council to upgrade Bury Market Hall to energy efficient LED Lighting.
Solarcrown Commercial replaced the previously installed 250W Metal Halide High Bay with our 100W LED High Bays with 90º Reflectors. With the High Bays installed we used a clear reflector instead of the common metal reflectors which have a aesthetic quality for the market place. We also equipped the LED High Bays with Daylight Dimmable Sensors that dim the High Bays near the outer windows in daylight hours, reducing the energy cost for the market hall.
The Mall’s Central Aisle and Stalls however was installed with our 28W and 58W 1500mm LED Surface Mounted AntiCorrosive Strip Fitting to maximise the light provided within these restrictive areas. Each entrance to the market hall was installed with 20W LED Directional Downlights that provide energy efficient lights with a flush finish to the tile ceiling.
External, Stairwell, Service Ramp and Basement areas.
We installed our 28W and 58W 1500mm LED Surface Mounted Anti-Corrosive Strip Fitting into these areas. Due to the working conditions of Bury Market Storage areas, our Anti-Corrosive LED fittings provide little maintenance and optimal resistance to low temperatures.
The lighting within the Stairwell and Service Ramp zones, (installed with 15W LED Bulkhead fittings) is controlled through microwave sensors that detect approaching movement. This function allows the LED lighting to dim when the area is not in use, making significant energy savings.
